We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

Job Description:

As part of PayPal’s technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing native applications to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. The role spans from architecture design to code implementation, working closely with cross-functional and cross-geographic teams to drive technical innovation and the ongoing evolution of the applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand the iOS core and provide solution and design
• Drive innovation and technical excellence in iOS mobile development.
• Lead complex mobile projects and teams.
• Collaborate with product leadership to define mobile product strategy.
• Mentor and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• Architect and implement scalable mobile solutions and Champion technical excellence and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging mobile technologies.

What do you need to bring-

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years' experience in Mobile Development, specifically iOS is preferred
• Experience developing and maintaining consumer-facing (not just enterprise) mobile applications at scale. Strong Swift skills & knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Deep understanding and knowledge around consuming GraphQL and REST APIs from Mobile applications.
• Ability to understand, communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of testing best practices and familiarity with at least one testing framework for Mobile Development. Skilled at writing Unit and Automation tests.
• Strong knowledge of common design patterns, algorithms, and object-oriented programming with expertise in design patterns such as VIPER and MVVM.

Desirable Skills:

• Hybrid/web experience will be a big plus.
• Front end Architecture/Performance Tuning/Safety Optimization will be a big plus.
• Innovative, passionate, and teamworking. Start-up spirited.
