Job Description

Synechron is a global consulting firm specializing in digital transformation for financial services. This role seeks a highly skilled .NET Architect with strong hands-on development experience in .NET Core to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions. The architect will be a technical leader, defining solutions, guiding development teams, setting architectural standards, and actively participating in development tasks, focusing on modernizing systems from monolithic to microservices.
Must have:
  • Lead end-to-end architecture design for .NET-based applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Drive adoption of best practices including containerization, microservices, cloud capability consumption & deployments.
  • Hands-on development in .NET Core, including coding, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, guidelines, and architectural principles.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
  • Mentor and support development teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and frameworks.
  • Ensure application security, scalability, performance, reliability, and auditability.
  • Envision event-based solutioning and Architecture.
  • Skilled in devising systems following no-code – low-code principles.
  • Drive DB Remodelling aligned with architecture.
  • Experience with migration projects from monolithic to microservices.
  • 12+ years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years in architecture roles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET 5+.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework, and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and related tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).
Good to have:
  • Exposure toward upcoming technologies, practices and design using AI/ML/LLM/Agents.
  • Exposure to NoSQL Databases (Document, Graph).
  • Exposure to Data Virtualization.

Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Architect with strong hands-on development experience and expertise in .NET Core to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader, capable of Developing requirement, Defining solution, having supportive extensible architecture guiding development teams, defining architectural standards, and actively participating in development tasks.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Kansas City, MO/Dallas, TX is $120k - $130k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture design for .NET-based applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices within the development team, including containerization, microservices, cloud capability consumption & deployments.
  • Hands-on development in .NET Core, including coding, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, guidelines, and architectural principles.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, data flow diagrams, and API documentation.
  • Mentor and support development teams on best practices, design patterns, and new technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and frameworks to improve development efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure application i security, scalability, performance, reliability, and auditability using Observability principles.
  • Should be able to envision event based solutioning and Architecture, integrable with workflow-based process automation
  • Should be skilled in devising system which follows no code – low code principle to the extent possible.
  • Should be able to drive DB Remodelling aligned with architecture supporting Parllel and sequential execution of task tied to workflows.
  • Migration project from monolithic to microservices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years in architecture roles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET 5+.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework, and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and related tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
