SimCorp is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead their reconciliation team. This role is crucial for ensuring robust control and accuracy across all asset classes and custodians, playing a vital part in the firm’s operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and risk management framework. The manager will oversee daily reconciliation processes, resolve discrepancies, implement controls, and lead automation initiatives.
Must have:
  • Manage the reconciliation team across cash, positions, and transactions.
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure timely resolution of breaks and discrepancies with appropriate escalation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Design and implement controls to improve reconciliation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor operational risk and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Implement automation initiatives and technology enhancements.
  • Prepare and present reconciliation and exception reports to senior management.
  • Lead internal and external audits related to reconciliation processes.
  • Participate in client onboardings and meetings.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead our reconciliation team and ensure robust control and accuracy across all asset classes and custodians.

This is a leadership role that plays a vital part in the firm’s operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and risk management framework.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Managing the reconciliation team across cash, positions, and transactions
  • Overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation processes across custodians, brokers, and internal systems
  • Ensuring timely resolution of breaks and discrepancies with appropriate escalation protocols
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams (e.g., Portfolio Management, Corporate Actions, Trade Processing) to resolve complex issues
  • Designing and implementing controls to improve reconciliation accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitoring operational risk and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards
  • Implementing automation initiatives and technology enhancements to streamline processes
  • Preparing and presenting reconciliation and exception reports to senior management
  • Leading internal and external audits related to reconciliation processes
  • Participating in client onboardings and meetings

WHAT WE VALUE

  • 7–10+ years of experience in a reconciliation or operations leadership role within asset management or financial services
  • Extensive understanding of investment instruments including equities, fixed income, and FX
  • Prior expertise in reconciliation systems
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Skilled leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proven experience managing teams in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent education and experience
