Job Description

Join SimCorp as a Corporate Actions Specialist, a crucial role in our FinTech team. You will manage daily corporate action tasks, monitor workflows, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. This position requires expertise across the full trade lifecycle and Investment Accounting Operations, with a strong focus on technology and client value. You will be responsible for liaising with third parties, resolving operational issues, and contributing to continuous service development.
Must have:
  • Action daily tasks and monitor workflow of corporate actions
  • Manage mandatory and voluntary corporate action types for various securities
  • Publish corporate action information to investment managers
  • Maintain accurate corporate event information
  • Identify, monitor, and settle claims from corporate action events
  • Manage Events Lifecycle and reporting
  • Liaise with 3rd Party Managers, Counterparties, Clients, and Custodians to resolve issues
  • Act as main point of contact for client queries/requirements
  • Participate in client on-boarding, testing, and service development
  • Identify and follow up on continuous service development
  • Maintain procedures and ongoing training
  • Manage administrative activities and contribute to reports
  • Adhere to service delivery against SLA and KPI’s
  • Participate in Client internal and external audits
  • Investigate complex cases with custodians
  • Identify and fix system issues
  • Investigate system performance with internal and external parties

We are looking for a Corporate Actions Specialist to join our team, who has a broad understanding of all Investment Operations functions. The role requires expertise across the full trade lifecycle and Investment Accounting Operations. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on high-quality and timely delivery. A strong interest in learning and harnessing technology will help you succeed in this role.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Action daily tasks and monitor the workflow of processes such as:
  • Recognition and management of mandatory and voluntary corporate action types for various securities
  • Publishing corporate action information to investment managers
  • Maintaining accurate corporate event information
  • Identifying, monitoring, and settling claims arising from corporate action events
  • Events Lifecycle management
  • Reporting
  • Independently liaise with 3rd Party Managers, Counterparties, Clients and Custodians to resolve operational issues
  • Taking part in escalations and process calls
  • Being main point of contact for client queries/requirements
  • Participating in client on-boarding, testing and service development
  • Identify continuous service development and follow up on their implementation
  • Maintain procedures and ongoing training
  • Manage all administrative activities and contribute to reports to management
  • Knowledge and adherence to service delivery against SLA and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Participate in Client internal and external audits
  • Independent investigation of complex cases with custodians
  • Identification and fixing system issues
  • Complex investigation of system performance with internal and external parties

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Thorough understanding of corporate actions
  • Comprehensive understanding of Corporate Actions related SWIFTs flow
  • Significant experience in working within a buy-side or outsourced Operations team
  • Understanding of claims procedures.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A good level of knowledge of Capital Market products
  • Familiarity with diverse security types and the investment industry
  • Enhanced communication with good verbal and written skills (English Language)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (Word &Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills and logical understanding of the processes
  • Business Analyst, project or onboarding experience is an advantage
