Owls in this role will have extensive marketing experience, a comprehensive understanding of paid media, advertising, sales planning, product growth strategy, a strong acumen of analytics and will be responsible for establishing paid marketing plans for existing and new products. This role will report directly to the Sr. Lead, Communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the paid advertising of Owlchemy’s existing product portfolio, including UTM tracking, results, and reporting. This includes, but is not limited to, developing and implementing overall campaign strategy, ideation, placements, budget, optimization, campaign monitoring and reporting.
  • Lead the creation of advertising campaigns. Oversee the content pipeline, manage Owls to ensure advertisement assets are created on schedule and campaigns are within budget.
  • Build relationships with advertising partners with a hands-on approach, working with partners to test new promotional programs that fit our needs.
  • Develop and lead paid media campaigns including overall campaign strategy, channel mix, requirements, KPIs, timelines and budget. This includes campaigns for current titles, new titles and the overall company.
  • Spearhead new customer acquisition strategies, using data to identify new opportunities and channel forecasts.
  • Own the sales and promotion pipeline across all platforms and all titles ensuring strategic timing, competitive pricing and sales event participation.
  • Provide reporting on sales performance and develop strategy for growth based on the findings. 
  • Provide strategic recommendations to sales assets and store fronts through A/B testing and reporting.
  • Provide detailed reporting on all campaign activities including KPI development, data analytics, key learnings and performance to inform our central marketing strategies.
  • Coordinate with marketing, product and development to create go-to-market plans, content briefs, and timelines for maximum impact.
  • Stay current with VR industry trends, social media trends, and overall consumer preferences.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in crafting briefs grounded in performance data and customer-centric marketing strategies
  • Experience managing performance marketing budgets across major digital platforms
  • Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices
  • Experience with advertising backends and how to manage campaigns
  • Outstanding organizational skills with strict attention to detail
  • Ability to recognize industry trends and stay ahead of them
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years experience in a marketing, analytics, advertising or similar role
  • Appreciation of puns (or at least the ability to groan at them)

Physical Requirements: 

  • Owls must be able to use virtual reality headsets but are not expected to own one.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time, work from home, 40-hours per week position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT. 

Travel:

For Owls working outside of the Austin, TX area, travel to Austin may be required 6 to 10 times per year.
