As a Solutions Architect for the cross-region 'Hunter' team at Databricks, you will drive the adoption of the Data Intelligence Platform in Enterprise Greenfield territory. You will build strong customer relationships, provide technical and business value, and act as a trusted advisor on Data and AI. This role involves creating customized solutions to help customers solve complex data challenges and achieve their business goals, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Must have:
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales and complex sales lifecycles.
  • Experience in use case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solution architecture designs.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions, navigate competitive landscapes, and influence C-level executives.
  • Hands-on expertise with complex Big Data architecture design and public cloud platform solutions.
  • Strong expertise in Data Warehousing and Data Engineering architecture and implementation.
  • Prior experience with coding in a core programming language (e.g., Python, SQL).
  • Business proficiency in both French and English.
  • Location in Paris or commutable distance for hybrid schedule.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 20-30%.

The impact you will have:

  • Create impactful and successful relationships with customers throughout your assigned territory, providing technical and business value to Databricks customers in collaboration with the extended team.
  • Become the trusted advisor of your customer on the Data and AI landscape by successfully driving and delivering the adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Scale best practices in your field by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications, and help build the Databricks community in your region by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
  • Grow your knowledge and expertise to the level of a technical and/or industry specialist.

What we look for:

  • At least 5 years of experience engaging in customer interactions for technical pre-sales and complex sales lifecycles.
  • Experienced in use case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solution architecture designs to multiple audiences, requiring an ability to switch context and/or levels of technical depth.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions for specialised customer needs, navigate a competitive landscape and influence C-level executives by developing relationships and orchestrating teams to achieve long-term customer success.
  • Hands-on expertise with complex Big Data architecture design and public cloud platform(s) solutions.
  • Strong expertise in Data Warehousing and Data Engineering architecture and implementation.
  • Prior experience with coding in a core programming language (i.e., Python, SQL etc.) and willingness to learn Spark.

Notes on mandatory requirements:

  • Location for the role will be in Paris (or within a commutable distance for hybrid schedule).
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 20-30% as required for customer meetings, events and trainings).
  • Business proficiency in both French and English is required as a minimum. Additional regional language proficiency may be advantageous for the role.
