Job Summary

Job Description

Support KGD product MP (SMT bumping application and first level FA) for China optical module customers. Perform first-level FA (Visual Inspection, CSAM, Curve Tracing, TDR) on customer modules, interface directly with customers to review and resolve manufacturing issues, and provide technical feedback to improve product reliability and yield. Document FA findings, generate detailed reports, ensure timely FA turnaround, and lead executive reviews. This role is crucial for maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction in the data infrastructure sector.
Must have:
  • Perform first-level FA(Visual Inspection, CSAM, Curve Tracing, TDR) on customer modules
  • Interface directly with customers to review and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Provide technical feedback and recommendations to improve product reliability and yield.
  • Document FA findings and generate detailed reports for internal and customer use.
  • Ensure timely FA turnaround for both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Lead executive reviews
  • 8+ years of Semiconductor industry experience
  • BS engineering degree. EE or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a customer-facing technical engineering role in Quality.
  • Bumping process analysis
  • Material analysis (e.g., solder paste, underfill, flux residues)
  • PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) inspection and troubleshooting
Good to have:
  • Technical knowledge on optoelectronics and module assembly processes, SMT and Bumping manufacturing and reliability qualification experience is preferred.
  • Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) experience with a strong understanding of customer quality expectations and issue resolution process.
  • Proven ability to interface directly with customers, providing technical updates, managing escalations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Hands-on experience debugging optical modules from component to application level.
  • Proven Experience reviewing PCB layouts and schematics.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Optical Component-level Failure Analysis and manufacturing/reliability-related issues is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to intuitively comprehend customer expectations and translate into action.
  • The ability to work under tight timeframes, prioritize competing activities and deliver results.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate and lead cross-functional teams; find solutions to complex problems.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results with increasing responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of Semiconductor industry experience BS engineering degree. EE or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a customer-facing technical engineering role in Quality.
  • Technical knowledge on optoelectronics and module assembly processes, SMT and Bumping manufacturing and reliability qualification experience is preferred.

Preferred Required:

  • Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) experence with a strong understanding of customer quality expectations and issue resolution process.
  • Proven ability to interface directly with customers, providing technical updates, managing escalations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Hands-on experience debugging optical modules from component tp application level.
  • Proven Experience reviewing PCB layouts and schematics.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Skills Required:

  • Working knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and packaging technologies, device physics, quality and reliability.
  • Technical knowledge on optoelectronics and module assembly processes, SMT and Bumping manufacturing and reliability qualification experience is preferred.
  • Experience in quality and reliability, particularly in Optoelectronic packaging processes.
  • Optical Component-level Failure Analysis and manufacturing/reliability-related issues is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to intuitively comprehend customer expectations and translate into action.
  • The ability to work under tight timeframes, prioritize competing activities and deliver results.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate and lead cross-functional teams; find solutions to complex problems.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results with increasing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
