As a Principal Go-to-Market (GTM) Engineer at Vimeo, you'll be a critical technical contributor within our Revenue Operations team. You'll be instrumental in architecting and optimizing the technology infrastructure that powers our entire Go-to-Market engine – spanning marketing, sales, and customer success.

This role is for a highly analytical and technically proficient individual who can bridge the gap between business strategy and system execution. You'll ensure our revenue teams have the scalable, integrated, and data-rich platforms they need to drive efficiency, accelerate growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. While our core IT infrastructure and broader system operations are managed by our dedicated SysOps team, you'll focus specifically on the applications, integrations, and data flows essential to the revenue lifecycle, collaborating closely with SysOps when system builds or core infrastructure changes are required.

What You'll Do

  • GTM System Architecture & Optimization: Oversee and optimize the technical architecture for our core GTM applications, including our CRM, Marketing Automation Platform, Sales Engagement tools, Customer Success platforms, and related tools.
  • Integration & Automation: Design robust and scalable integrations between various GTM systems using APIs, iPaaS solutions, and custom scripting to ensure seamless data flow and eliminate manual processes.
  • Data Pipeline Management: Develop and manage data pipelines to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely data movement for reporting, analytics, and GTM strategy across all revenue systems.
  • Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate workflows within sales, marketing, and customer success, translating business requirements into technical solutions that drive efficiency and improve operational speed.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as a subject matter expert for complex GTM system issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and solutions.
  • Collaboration with SysOps: Partner closely with the SysOps and IT teams on foundational infrastructure, security protocols, core enterprise integrations, and shared data warehousing initiatives. You will collaborate with SysOps to build new system functionalities or modifications that impact underlying infrastructure, ensuring GTM systems align with overall company technical standards and leverage existing infrastructure effectively.
  • Vendor Evaluation & Management: Evaluate, recommend, and configure new GTM technologies and features to enhance our tech stack and GTM capabilities.
  • Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive technical documentation for GTM system architecture, integrations, and processes, and assist in training RevOps and other GTM teams on complex system functionalities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance and health of GTM systems, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in a technical role supporting Go-to-Market functions (e.g., Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Systems).
  • Deep expertise in administering and developing within a leading CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365). Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer) highly preferred if applicable.
  • Proficiency with Marketing Automation Platforms ([e.g., Marketo, Pardot, HubSpot]).
  • Strong experience with API integrations and familiarity with iPaaS platforms ([e.g., Workato, Tray.io, Zapier]).
  • Ability to write and understand code/scripts (e.g., SQL, Python, JavaScript) for data manipulation, automation, and custom solutions.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse functional teams (Sales, Marketing, CS, Product, SysOps/IT).
  • Understanding of the full revenue lifecycle (lead to cash) and the interdependencies of GTM functions.
  • Experience with advanced analytics or AI/ML applications in a GTM context.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with BI tools and data visualization platforms ([e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI]).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
