We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Operations Principal to join our Customer Marketing team.
This hybrid role is part of a global team spanning the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
This role blends marketing operations and event execution, with a focus on optimizing systems, tools, and data to drive operational excellence while delivering high-impact customer experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and brings passion for both marketing technology and live experiences.

This role will help accelerate pipeline growth, increase brand and product awareness, strengthen customer relationships, and improve marketing efficiency. The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded marketing background, with proven experience in marketing operations and event management, and a strong ability to use both qualitative and quantitative insights to drive continuous improvement.

Role and Responsibilities

Marketing Operations
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Support CMO leadership in defining and executing annual marketing strategy, OKRs, and growth priorities across regions and customer segments.
- Co-lead planning, leadership meetings, offsites, and business reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.
Marketing Systems
- Maintain and optimize marketing systems (e.g. CRM, analytics tools) to ensure seamless campaign delivery, lead flow, and event support.
- Facilitate targeted, data-driven campaigns in collaboration with demand generation and field marketing teams.
- Own QA processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency across all channels.
Data Management & Reporting
- Create and maintain dashboards to track campaign and event performance, lead conversion, and pipeline contribution.
- Deliver actionable insights to marketing and sales stakeholders to inform strategy and improve ROI.
Process Optimization & Enablement
- Identify and implement improvements in marketing workflows, documentation, and team enablement to drive operational efficiency.
Technology Evaluation & Compliance
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and platforms to enhance marketing effectiveness and scalability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, product, creative, and external agencies to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between field marketing, demand generation, and operations teams to ensure cohesive execution and shared accountability.
Event Management
Strategic Event Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of virtual, in-person, and hybrid events including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and internal activations.
- Define event objectives, strategy, and KPIs in alignment with business goals and audience needs.
- Establish and manage project teams, timelines, and operating cadences to ensure flawless execution.
Audience Engagement & Experience Design
- Identify and target the right audience segments; own digital-led campaigns to drive registration and engagement (e.g., landing pages, emails, social posts).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend content and design customer experiences that resonate and convert.
- Measure and report on customer engagement; optimize future events based on performance metrics and feedback.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Proactively manage event budgets, track expenses, and reconcile costs in a timely manner.
- Negotiate and execute industry event sponsorships with clear marketing objectives and desired outcomes.
- Cultivate relationships with host organizations, venues, caterers, AV teams, and other vendors to ensure high-quality delivery.
Onsite & Post-Event Execution
- Oversee onsite logistics including registration, signage, staffing, and technical setup.
- Analyze event performance, attendee engagement, and ROI; provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within global technology organizations.
- Proven expertise in event strategy and execution, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
- Self-starter with a track record of navigating ambiguity and thriving in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, marketing automation platforms, and CRM systems.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities across teams and geographies.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and vendor negotiations.
Nice To Have Skills:
- Experience managing agency and vendor partners – comfortable briefing, setting clear expectations on deliverables and budget control
- Knowledge of sales methodologies (e.g. Miller Heiman) and digital marketing and automation tools like Salesforce and Pardot is preferred
- Familiarity with event platforms (e.g., Cvent, Splash etc).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy compliance in marketing.
