Product Engineering drives product innovation with a specific emphasis on the automation of Placement, Plane Pour and Routing. This role involves collaborating with teams and customers to understand requirements, create guidance, and support successful adoption. As a technical expert, you will influence roadmap content, develop new features, and create release materials. The ideal candidate is an expert Allegro PCB Editor user with knowledge of high-speed design rules, routing strategies, High Density Interconnect (HDI), and basic Rigid-Flex Design.
Must have:
  • Running design benchmarks and developing and reviewing flows and solutions
  • Interacting with R&D teams to define technology roadmaps and product improvement
  • Producing and presenting new technology collateral for customer adoption
  • Supporting customer and field teams for effective introduction and application of Cadence products
  • Support User Group events and PCB Trade Shows
  • Strong understanding of PCB design and analysis
  • Experience with industry standard EDA tools for front end, back end solutions
  • Solid understanding of high speed, high density PCB’s
  • Automation skills using various languages like SKILL, TCL, Python
  • Considered to be a “Power User” of Allegro PCB Editor with focus on advanced routing solution

Product Engineering drives product innovation with a specific emphasis on the automation of Placement, Plane Pour and Routing. Work closely with different teams and customers to collaborate, understand requirements, create guidance and best practices for implementation, and support successful customer adoption/proliferation. As a technical expert, Product Engineers make decisions on roadmap content and priority, use models for new features and creation of release roll-out material such as product presentations and demo kits. Candidate at a minimum should be an expert Allegro PCB Editor user with knowledge of high speed design rules and routing strategies, High Density Interconnect (HDI) and basic knowledge of Rigid-Flex Design.

Responsibilities:

  • Running design benchmarks and developing and reviewing flows and solutions
  • Interacting with R&D teams to define technology roadmaps and product improvement based on analysis of results from customer case studies and direct feedback
  • Producing and presenting new technology collateral for customer adoption
  • Supporting customer and field teams for effective introduction and application of Cadence products
  • Support User Group events and PCB Trade Shows

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of PCB design and analysis
  • Experience with industry standard EDA tools for front end, back end solutions
  • Solid understanding of high speed, high density PCB’s
  • Energetic team player with a passion for problem solving
  • Strong analysis skills with a track record to prove it
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Automation skills using various languages like SKILL, TCL, Python
  • BSEE/ET or equivalent industry experience as described in this posting.
  • 10+ years of experience in the PCB Design/EDA industry.
  • Considered to be a “Power User” of Allegro PCB Editor with focus on advanced routing solution
  • Excellent presentation and customer interaction skills; you must be a people person to succeed in this position!
