Description
Everi is seeking a Principal Software Developer to join our Systems Engineering team. This is a high-impact, hybrid position based in our Austin, TX office. The ideal candidate is a senior-level .NET developer with deep experience in MS SQL Server, PowerShell scripting, tooling development, and a solid foundation in Windows Server environments.
You’ll play a key role in building and maintaining some of the most critical backend systems powering the Casino Gaming ecosystem. If you're excited about creating software solutions, collaborating with a seasoned team, and working with leading technologies, we want to hear from you.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Design, develop, and maintain software tools and applications in the .NET ecosystem
- Build and optimize MS SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and data access layers
- Create and maintain robust PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and support tooling efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support systems engineering initiatives
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, system, and performance issues on Windows Server platforms
- Take ownership of complex problems and see them through to resolution
Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job:
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on .NET (C#)
- Advanced MS SQL Server experience (development, optimization, and troubleshooting)
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills
- Experience developing internal tools and automation scripts
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and system hardening
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location at which the position may ultimately be filled. At Everi, it is not typical for all individuals to be hired at or near the end of the range; compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,000 - $150,000 annually.
