The Principal Value Stream Engineer – Front Office, is a senior individual contributor embedded in the SimCorp One Value Stream. This role owns the adoption and scalability of standard of Front Office (FO) workflows—spanning portfolio construction, order & execution, allocations/confirmations, and pre-/post-trade compliance—to accelerate client onboarding while ensuring consistently high-quality outcomes. You think end-to-end across the whole value chain (Select → Onboard → Operate), align ways of working to Scaled Agile principles and DevOps practices, and apply an engineering/build mindset to turn standards into shippable, versioned, and observable assets that scale across teams. You partner with the VMO, Programme/Project Managers, SaaS and MBS Outcomes teams, Solution Owners/Architects, Client Operations and Service Operations so the value chain runs as a single standardized flow. You drive reuse over reinvention, minimize deviations, and use flow metrics and telemetry to remove systemic blockers and continuously improve delivery.
Most importantly, you can see yourself contributing and thriving in the position described above. How you gained the skills needed for doing that is less important. We expect you to be proficient in several of the following skills and be able to - and interested in - learning the rest.
Ability to champion and implement standardized Front Office workflows, treating standards as products (versioned, documented, and distributed via CI/CD).
Strong collaboration skills to work with architects, project managers, operations, and other teams to ensure scalable and efficient onboarding and solution design.
Skills in designing for operations from the start, including developing runbooks, monitoring, telemetry, and incident/change management models.
Proficiency in using flow metrics and dashboards to identify bottlenecks, remove blockers, and drive continuous improvement in processes and standards.
Ability to coach and align teams to Scaled Agile and DevOps principles, including lean flow, synchronization, trunk-based development, automated testing, and progressive delivery.
Expertise in Azure DevOps toolchains, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git best practices, and ensuring observability and SRE readiness before go-live.
Attractive compensation, a bonus program, and a retirement plan are fundamental components of any employment agreement. However, in SimCorp, we believe we can offer more. Therefore, in addition to the traditional benefit scheme, we provide a healthy work-life balance and opportunities for professional development: there is never just one route - we offer an individual approach to professional development to support the direction you want to take.
