Producer (Onsite Bangkok)

Our 450+ M2 family is a wealth of multicultural talents and consists of more than 20 nationalities from all over the world. Our range covers from storytelling to design, from modeling to texturing, from camera layout to animation and lighting, and from effects to color grading. Right now, M2 Animation is looking for a Producer to contribute on a CG TV Series for a top client. Our teams produce a variety of series-format animations: Tween, 2D, preschool etc.

The Position:

We require a Producer with the skills to simultaneously juggle the three main pillars of any respectable animated production: time, cost, and quality. As someone who understands the finer points of animation workflows, you can spot pitfalls before they slam into schedules, and are able to keep spirits at maximum levels during the highs and lows of production. You are adept at handling multiple tasks at a time and can communicate effectively across a varied spectrum, from client to artist to upper management. You are meticulous with details, yet flexible to adapt to creative opportunities, and your positive attitude and sharp focus will ensure all are on board with a clear path to delivering an excellent show on time and budget.

We expect you to meet regularly with the Finance Department to monitor project economies, rely on HR to support the needs of your crew, collaborate with HR for recruiting, testing, and interviewing staff to help build an awesome team, and partner with the Technology Departments in order to meet the technical needs of the project.

Key-responsibilities include:

• Plan, execute, and deliver the best quality project, from beginning to end.
• Collaborate with the clients to understand their expectations and help them fill in the gap where they lack experience and knowledge of the process.
• Create a united plan for a project based on the production schedule, assumptions and budget in collaboration with the Director and CG supervisor.
• Keep the crew productive, motivated, and proud of their work, while maintaining the production schedule and plan.
• Constantly communicate with the client and key staff to manage and align expectations of quality and output.
• Working within our studio’s methods, while being able to handle your projects and clients independently.
• Lead a team of directors, managers, coordinators, supervisors, and artists, using the existing studio systems and procedures.
• Proactively identify problems to prevent production blocks early and bring solutions forward in a collaborative environment.
• Report project status up the chain.
• Help to assess the quality and skill of new applicants.
• Treat all members of the crew with equal respect and deliver instructions in a polite and professional manner.
• Collaborate within a team of producers across multiple projects to share experience and solve problems together.
• Inspire and challenge yourself and the Crew to exceed expectations.

Skills and technical knowledge requirements:

• Inspire and challenge yourself and the Crew to exceed expectations.
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of series animation in an international studio.
• Be technologically savvy to adapt to new ways of working.
• Knowledge of global market prices for animation production.
• Full understanding of the lexicon of CG and/or 2D animation.
• Proven track record of successful leadership and management skills, with an ability to multitask various projects.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines, with a steady hand under pressure.
• Ability to create schedules and map manpower requirements accordingly.
• Some experience working either in Asia, or with Asian companies.
• Be an experienced user of MS Office and Shotgun.
