Job Description

Quicksand is seeking a senior associate in product management in our Delhi studio, who can work with a team of young designers. We are looking for someone who will inspire both teams and clients and build compelling stories and meaningful business strategies. The ideal candidate excels in interdisciplinary teams and collaborates effectively with diverse stakeholders. 

Some specific responsibilities of this role include being able to:

• Gather domain expertise by immersing yourself into the context through extensive secondary and primary research, industry analysis and market scanning
  

• Follow and drive first principles approach to problem solving for your products and at the same time, leverage data to support your point of view
  

• Get familiar with the strategic context of the product and the business to ascertain how it translates into the product roadmap
  

• Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to shape product requirements
  

• Bring an analytical mindset to weigh opportunities and trade-offs to derive priorities for development
  

• Create detailed requirements and work closely with engineering to ship features in time
  

• Drive superb execution against the plan, anticipating risk, and leading discussions via frequent, clear communication (both internally and with customers)
  

• Leverage design and data tools to convey your point of view on product features and issues
  

• Be comfortable with leading workshops and discussions with clients around product and tech
  

What we are looking for

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science), Product Management or Business Studies from a leading program in India or abroad
  

• 4-6 years of professional work experience that clearly demonstrates a capacity for, and success in, leading the development of digital product solutions, preferably in a consulting or research practice.
  

• Expertise with Google Analytics and similar usage analytics tools
  

• Working knowledge of large language models and Generative AI technologies
  

• Good understanding of APIs, programming languages, front end technologies and cloud computing
  

• Excellent communication skills
  

• Nice to have: SQL, Prototyping skills on FIgma
  

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of any other languages (including Hindi) would be a definite plus but not mandatory
  

• Ability to think critically and have exceptional attention to detail
  

• Some evidence of independent creative work would be viewed very positively
  

• A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude towards your work

Location

The position will be based in Delhi, India. You will work with colleagues across our studio locations. The job will also involve meeting and working with diverse people and communities for projects, as well as travel to workshops, client meetings, and the occasional company offsite.
