Marvell's high-speed PAM4 DSPs are industry-leading, driving the optical ecosystem for high-performance, low-power connectivity solutions across cloud AI, service provider, enterprise, and 5G. As Product Marketing Director, you will lead a cross-functional team to manage existing and new products, focusing on business wins. This role requires strong customer relationships, understanding technical and business needs, and driving execution. Responsibilities include product business planning, driving design wins, establishing key account relationships, leading optical DSP platforms, and managing outbound marketing activities to ensure product success and market differentiation.
Must have:
  • Lead product business planning activities including market/technology trends and sizing.
  • Drive design wins with sales to meet annual and long-term revenue goals.
  • Establish relationships at key accounts and partners.
  • Lead optical DSP component platform for optical transceivers.
  • Drive outbound marketing activities including product promotions and launches.
  • Manage opportunity funnel across data center and ecosystem partners.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of customer applications and competitor solutions.
  • Define Marvell product roadmap for compelling and differentiated products.
  • Develop comprehensive customer-facing tools like presentations and white papers.

  • Working experience in laser driver and TIA products
  • Domain knowledge on Optical Transceivers for Data Center application
  • Chinese language proficiency in Mandarin

What You Can Expect

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a cross functional team to manage existing and new products, and win business. We are looking for someone who has close working relationships with our key customers, who can understand the technical and business needs customer faces and who can drive the team to execute.

  • Lead product business planning activities including: market/technology trends, market sizing (TAM, SAM, SOM), key customers to win, competitive analysis, revenue, product positioning and pricing.
  • Drive design wins with sales which meet annual and long-term revenue goals.
  • Establish relationships at key accounts and partners.
  • Lead optical DSP component platform for optical transceivers to ensure sales, engineering and cross-functional teams are all in-sync to execute what is needed to win key designs.
  • Drive outbound marketing activities including product promotions, industry events, trade shows, customer/partner press announcements, product launches, website updates.
  • Manage the opportunity funnel across data center, ecosystem partners and work closely with Sales to achieve design wins
  • Gain in-depth understanding of customer applications and competitor solutions to define Marvell product roadmap and ensure products are compelling and differentiated
  • Own development of comprehensive customer facing tools including customer presentations, white papers, solutions briefs and competitive positioning.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Arts or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience.
  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in Business, Science, Arts or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.
  • 5 years of relevant semiconductor experience with solid understanding of optical communication and components.
  • Can-do self-starter with strong cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Analytic mind who has had success in the launch of new products.
  • Demonstrated product life-cycle management across whole semiconductor product NPI process.
  • Proven ability to create and drive a funnel with sales.
  • Proven ability to gain respect and work effectively with Engineering organizations.
  • Strong product management experience including defining products, developing MRDs, and driving design analysis
  • Must have experience in a customer-facing role. The candidate must have the necessary communications skills and experience to be able to interface effectively and manage product expectations at customer.
  • Comprehensive background in semiconductor design necessary to evaluate product tradeoffs for performance, manufacturing cost, power and total development cost.

Desired

  • Working experience in the laser driver and TIA products is a strong plus.
  • Domain knowledge on Optical Transceivers for Data Center application is a strong plus.
  • Chinese language proficiency in Mandarin is preferred

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

162,340 - 243,200, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
