Job Description

As a Product Owner within an Agile development team at Kaizen Gaming, you will be responsible for driving the vision and continuous improvement of Responsible Gaming (RG) products and features. Your role will involve ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices in player protection across various markets. You will utilize agile methodologies to maximize the business value and regulatory compliance of the team's deliverables. Key responsibilities include leading a Scrum team, defining product vision, analyzing regulatory requirements, creating epics and user stories for player protection tools, managing the product backlog, planning releases, removing impediments, championing agile practices, collaborating with engineering and data teams, and monitoring regulatory changes to maintain compliance.
Must have:

Let's Start with the Role
 

As a Product Owner and part of an Agile development team at Kaizen Gaming, you will drive the vision and continuous evolution of Responsible Gaming (RG) products and features, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices in player protection across multiple markets. Using agile methodologies, you will maximize the business value and regulatory compliance of the team’s deliverables.
 

As a Product Owner, you will:
  • Lead a Scrum team as the Product Owner, owning the delivery and prioritization of Responsible Gaming features and enhancements.
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team focused on player safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze and interpret  regulatory requirements, working closely with compliance, data teams, and other stakeholders to ensure full alignment.
  • Define requirements in the form of epics and user stories related to customer protection tools, monitoring, limits, self-exclusion, risk detection models, and related features.
  • Manage the product backlog and lead iteration planning, prioritizing deliverables based on regulatory timelines, player welfare impact, and business objectives.
  • Plan product releases and set clear expectations for the delivery of new RG functionalities and improvements.
  • Identify and remove impediments that may hinder the delivery of player protection solutions or affect sprint/release goals.
  • Champion agile best practices to ensure iterative, customer-centric delivery of RG tools and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure the reliability, transparency, and auditability of RG systems and player data, in line with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and evolving industry standards in RG, proactively driving enhancements to existing tools and systems to maintain compliance and leadership in player protection.
 
 
What you'll bring:
  • At least 2 years of working experience as a Product Owner in a technological environment;
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and practices;
  • Proven ability to define business requirements, identify challenges, and propose technical and operational solutions;;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and business teams;
  • Familiarity with online sports betting and casino products is an asset;
  • Good understanding of technology, programming languages and software architecture is considered a plus.
