Principal Network Engineer

As a Principal Network Engineer, you will be a key technical leader, defining and executing the strategy for our company’s network infrastructure. You will act as a thought leader and a top-level escalation point, working across internal and external teams to align business needs with architectural solutions. You will be responsible for setting the technical direction and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our network as we continue to grow.

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Principal Network Engineer who will have the opportunity to design and implement new technologies & enhance the existing ones. Sharing ideas and evolving in a dynamic and diverse Cisco-based network environment, spanning within sixteen countries already and continuously expanding, will be everyday life!

As a Principal Network Engineer, you will:

• Define and lead the network architectural roadmap, ensuring the infrastructure aligns with the company’s strategic goals and growth.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex network issues, providing expert-level analysis and resolution.
• Design and architect highly resilient and scalable network solutions for both on-premise and cloud environments, driving implementation alongside engineering teams.
• Establish and enforce best practices and standards for network security, performance, and automation.
• Mentor and guide other network engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new network technologies, creating business cases and spearheading proof-of-concept projects.

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated expertise in architecting and scaling complex, multi-site network environments, with a deep understanding of core networking protocols and technologies.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco-based platforms and a broad understanding of other vendors.
• Proven ability to act as a technical leader, driving large-scale, cross-functional projects from conception to completion.
• Deep knowledge of network automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles, with hands-on experience using tools like Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve the most challenging network issues under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• CCNP certification will be considered a plus.
• Significant experience in designing and deploying network automation frameworks.
• In-depth expertise in cloud networking architectures on platforms like AWS and Azure.
• A track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers.
