Job Description

The Project Leader is responsible for facilitating multi-site agile projects, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. They will execute innovation projects, provide strategic direction, and manage projects within budget and timelines. The role involves applying PMBok and SAFe methodologies, incorporating customer feedback, and identifying project risks. The leader will utilize analytical skills to develop innovative solutions and negotiate project goals, monitoring the business case for maximum impact. The role requires a customer-centric mindset throughout the project lifecycle. This involves leading critical, multi-domain innovation projects, ensuring alignment with various partners, and managing changes across multiple business areas. The role requires strong project management skills, including planning and estimation techniques, and the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
• Facilitates a portfolio of multi-site (agile) projects across disciplines, managing dependencies and creating synergy to maximize collective impact on organization's strategic objectives.
• Executes critical, multi-domain innovation projects for the organization, providing clear strategic direction and ensuring alignment with diverse internal and external partners to drive the organization forward, working under limited supervision.
• Prepares and implements complex, multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring alignment with agreed-upon specifications, timelines, budgets, staffing, and strategic realization of a single end-to-end process while managing severe changes impacting multiple businesses.
• Develops a deep understanding and ability to consistently apply PMBok and SAFe methodologies, serving as a coach and resource while utilizing advanced planning techniques to ensure efficient project execution within timelines, budgets, and resource constraints.
• Leads with a customer-centric mindset throughout the project lifecycle, exceeding expectations by actively incorporating customer feedback to ensure solutions effectively address identified needs.
• Demonstrates strong project management methods, relevant organizational and end-to-end process knowledge, and experience managing projects, including professional knowledge of planning methods and estimation techniques (resources, time, and risk) specific to the Design discipline.
• Identifies and assesses project risks and opportunities, developing robust mitigation strategies while fostering a culture of thoughtful risk-taking with escalation to senior management when deemed necessary.
• Utilizes advanced analytical skills to address high complexity requests efficiently, applies conceptual thinking to develop innovative solutions and strategies.
• Negotiates agreement on and achieves project goals and objectives, monitoring the business case during project execution with an outcome-oriented view, focusing on maximizing project benefits and business impact.

Minimum required Education:
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, Program Management or equivalent.

Minimum required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 3 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Portfolio Management, Innovation Management, Project and Program Management or equivalent.


Preferred Certification:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
Philips Project Management Certification: Project Management Practitioner

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
