Position Summary

Location: Atlanta, GA (Preferred)

Remote Hybrid Role

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for engaging with customers and internal project teams to drive and successfully deliver implementation projects that span across one or more business units. You will manage a portfolio of projects and strategic initiatives in support of Retail Solutions within North America.  You are responsible for managing the schedule, costs, budget, quality, deliverables, risks, issues, performance to plan, as well as communicating project status to project sponsors, stakeholders, internal or external customers, and executive management.  We require exceptional leadership, communication, and “hands-on” project management skills, as well as proficiency in motivating and leading others through vision, strategic positioning, and leadership characteristics.  As a Project Manager, you need to be passionate, energetic, persistent, and actively engage in strategic Business Development and Retail Solutions meetings and recommend or contribute to alternatives, options, and/or solutions that provide a competitive advantage.  This role will reside in the Project Management Group but will report directly to and take direction from Sales Marketing/Retail Solutions.

Job Duties/ Key Accountabilities

  • Provide on-site leadership for the project team by motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Facilitate definition of project scope and objectives with a team, and oversee/coordinate all aspects of project, plan, and direct schedules as well as project budgets.
  • Manage portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
  • Full project life cycle ownership:  successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for a portfolio of strategic initiatives for Retail Solutions.
  • Manage all aspects of the portfolio of projects to ensure the overall implementation is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Communicate and adapt to all types of personalities and communication styles.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Understand the interdependencies between technology, sales, operations, customers, and business needs.
  • Deliver appropriate and effective communication across all levels of the portfolio of projects you will be managing.
  • Identify and develop a trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders, sponsors, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Set and continually manage the portfolio of projects expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Continue professional development in emerging gaming technologies and marketing sales.

Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or Engineering, or Business.
  • Schedule: M-F; may include weekends if implementation requires.
  • Travel Required: Yes (Less than 10 % over a year)
  • Lottery/Gaming experience is a Plus.
  • Sales Marketing, Business Development, and Sales/Retail Sales experience is a Plus.
  • 3 + years of PM experience, with at least 2 years in leading and managing a portfolio of small to medium Technology Solution projects for customers across North America.
  • Georgia residents are preferred but will consider Remote candidates within the US.
  • On-site working requirement:  The working onsite requirement is 1 to 3 days a week.  The working onsite requirement could potentially increase to 5 days a week for a period of time based on the priorities that you are managing and management’s requirements.
  • PMP Certification, or in the process of obtaining PMP Certification.
  • Ability to travel and be onsite for customer implementations (Less than 10 % of travel over a year)
  • Proven track record of successful project/program management of small to medium sized IT projects
  • Ability to organize, define, plan, and create a team environment that will lead into a team motivated to deliver the solution.
  • Highly skilled in understanding how to create a project budget and track performance against budget.
  • Effective facilitation skills for decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative critical thinking skills required.
  • Excellent communication and people skill required.
  • Experience with managing a portfolio of small to medium IT projects.

Authority/Decision Making

  • Ability to make portfolio, program, project decisions in consultation with sales marketing, technology, business, and the customer.
  • Must consult with and take direction from the Vice President, Sales Marketing.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.

Years of Related Experience

3 + years of PM experience, with at least 2 years in leading and managing a portfolio of small to medium Technology Solution projects for customers across North America.
