Job Description

As a Project Specialist, you will lead and coordinate the technical execution of complex engineering projects. You will be highly organised and technically proficient, working closely with the Project Owner and Chief of Engineering to execute the defined project plan. This role involves planning, controlling, monitoring and reporting the technical project activities and deliverables to ensure alignment with cost, schedule and technical requirements. You will ideally possess leadership capability and strong communication skills, managing technical risks, driving milestone achievements and supporting integration and deployment activities.
Must have:
  • Bachelors degree or technical diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware engineering or computer science
  • Strong relatable experience as a Project Specialist or similar role, ideally within the Defence industry
  • Act as the technical point of contact for all project-related discussions
  • Lead site integration and scheduling activities
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed and meet requirements
  • Support customer acceptance and qualification phases
  • Eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance
Good to have:
  • Simulator or aircraft experience
  • Exposure to CAE Standard hardware and software tools and processes

This role involves planning, controlling, monitoring and reporting the technical project activities and deliverables to ensure alignment with cost, schedule and technical requirements. You will ideally possess leadership capability and strong communication skills, managing technical risks, driving milestone achievements and supporting integration and deployment activities.

The role we are offering you

  • Act as the technical point of contact for all project-related discussions
  • Lead site integration and scheduling activities
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed and meet requirements
  • Support customer acceptance and qualification phases.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelors degree or technical diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware engineering  or computer science
  • Strong relatable experience as a Project Specialist or similar role, ideally within the Defence the industry.
  • Advantageous to have simulator or aircraft experience
  • Exposure to CAE Standard hardware and software tools and processes will be advantageous

Location:

  • Homebush, NSW
  • We operate a hybrid working approach.
  • Your role will involve some ad-hoc domestic and possible international travel

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
