Job Details

Job Description

① Responsible development area, business overview, and role/position within R&D of the affiliated organization

Environmental issues are one of the major social problems, and Nissan Motor is working to improve these environmental issues. One of the measures is to improve vehicle fuel efficiency and electric power consumption. Addressing fuel efficiency and electric power consumption improvement involves various developments such as vehicle-side development and powertrain-side development, so development is divided among component managers, system design managers, and experiment managers.

This section is responsible for fuel efficiency and electric power consumption performance development experiments. To achieve fuel efficiency and electric power consumption performance targets, performance target values are assigned to each UNIT/SYSTEM/component in the design, and verification experiments are conducted using the SYSTEM and vehicle to confirm that each UNIT/SYSTEM/component is built according to the assigned performance target values.

② Specific job content and expected role/position within and outside your department

The job content involves planning and executing fuel efficiency and electric power consumption experiments, verifying experimental results, analyzing mechanisms, and considering countermeasures when technical issues arise. Since fuel efficiency and electric power consumption performance are related to many systems and components, the role involves leading experiments in a central position while collaborating with related departments and personnel. This is an important position that determines the fuel efficiency and electric power consumption performance of mass-produced vehicles.

③ Workplace environment and working style (member composition, workplace atmosphere, characteristics)

This section has an engineer group that plans and executes experiments and a technical engineer group that conducts experiments. As an engineer, you will create experiment plans and conduct experiments in cooperation with technical engineers. Experiments are not only about demonstrating individual engineering skills but also about progressing through discussions with group members, design, and technical engineers, so there are many opportunities for communication, and it is a workplace where communication is easy.
