Job Description

LSEG is seeking a Quality Engineer to join an agile product development team focused on Margin Calculation systems. The role involves ensuring high-quality, on-time software delivery. Responsibilities include analyzing software requirements, documenting test plans, designing and implementing various test strategies (integration, system, acceptance, end-to-end), and assessing software risk. The ideal candidate will have experience in test automation for web and API solutions, using tools like Selenium and Postman, and familiarity with build/test integration tools such as Jenkins and GitLab. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this collaborative role.
Must have:
  • Analyse software and quality requirements and document test plans.
  • Design, develop, review and implement integration, system, acceptance and end-to-end test strategies.
  • Assess and report on software risk and release readiness.
  • Test automation experience for web and API solutions.
  • Experience with Selenium based test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with API test tools such as Postman.
  • Automation and manual testing for multi-tier, on-prem and cloud-based integrated solutions.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and working with test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with build and test integration tooling including Jenkins, GitLab.
  • Ensure software testing best practices and quality standards are consistently applied.
  • Drive continuous improvement and leverage quality metrics.
  • Actively participate in project planning sessions to analyse requirements and estimates.
  • Align to business and technical priorities and understand customer requirements.
  • Present and communicate effectively to all levels of the organisation.

  • GIT, CI/CD, testing automation tools and frameworks
  • Jenkins familiarity
  • Familiarity with Cloud concepts
  • MSFT Office, PowerBI

Role Description:

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a highly collaborative, agile product development team responsible for delivering high quality and on-time software systems for our Margin Calculation systems.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Analyse software and quality requirements and document test plans
  • Design, develop, review and implement integration, system, acceptance and end-to-end test strategies
  • Assess and report on software risk and release readiness
  • Test automation experience for web and API solutions and selenium based test automation frameworks and API test tools such as Postman
  • Automation and manual testing for multi-tier, on prem and cloud based integrated solutions
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and working with test automation frameworks
  • Experience with build and test integration tooling including Jenkins, GitLab
  • Understanding of financial markets, experience testing financial software a plus

  • Align to business and technical priorities and understand customer requirements
  • Present and communicate effectively to all levels of the organisation including technical and non-technical audiences, leadership, and management
