Must have:

  • Well-versed in software quality assurance processes and SDLC.
  • Ability to plan, commit, and deliver to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Improve software quality via automation and Agile methodologies.
  • Analyze requirements to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Proactively participate in continuous improvement of testing processes.
  • Evaluate quality risks and propose test strategies.
  • Autonomously write complex automation at multiple testing levels.
  • Review automation testing code for team members.
  • Lead and train newer QA/DEV team members on automation.
  • Set, measure, monitor, and enforce sprint/release quality goals and metrics.
  • Recommend design improvements and corrections through code review.
  • Create and expand automated regression test suites.
  • Assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues.
  • Coordinate and manage client User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Job Details

Eze Software is currently seeking a QA Analyst to join our Execution Management System (EMS) program for the EMS UI scrum team. We want someone who is passionate about delivering quality products to our clients and has the desire to solve problems in an ever changing, complex environment, like financial software.

As a QA Analyst, you will work with open source technologies to develop and execute automated tests of various levels (unit, component, integration and UI) to ensure our software functionality meets the highest standards of quality.

The EMS product is a client-server based, front to back office solution for investment managers, and the EMS UI team works to build interfaces between the EMS, Market Data products. As a result, we work in a fast-paced environment where continuous integration and delivery are crucial to success. You will collaborate with product development and product managers to help release new functionality, incrementally, to our clients. We work in a collaborative and fun environment, and we are seeking Engineers in Test who can, not only bring their experience to the team, but can also explore new and interesting ways for us to efficiently test our products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Play a major role to improve quality, functionality, reliability and usability of software products through automation and Agile methodologies.
  • Analyze business requirements to develop complex and execute comprehensive test plan with systematic QA methodology including Performance, Security testing.
  • Proactively participate in continuous improvement of testing process and procedures by analyzing reported bugs and assessing test coverage around these areas.
  • Evaluate quality risks to our clients for product changes and propose test strategy to address risks.
  • Autonomously writes complex automation at multiple levels of testing pyramid.
  • Introduces new tools, frameworks, or processes to automation for their team.
  • Reviews all automation testing code for other QA/DEV.
  • Lead and train newer QA/DEV team members on how to write automation.
  • Sets sprint and release level quality goals for team. Also measures, monitors, and enforces agile and quality metrics.
  • Recommend design improvements and corrections through planning sessions and code review to engineers throughout the development process.
  • Creating and expanding automated regression test suites to increase test case coverage to continuously improve efficiency, reliability and determinism of existing tests.
  • Assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues
  • Coordinate and manage client User Acceptance Testing efforts in collaboration with Product Owners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science and Management Information Systems
  • Experience with software testing is a plus.
  • Automation experience at the unit, API or UI level is a plus.
  • Experience with writing and designing test plans is a plus.
  • Experience with MS SQL or SQL equivalent is a plus.
  • Career minded individuals who are eager for technical challenges and like to problem solve.
  • Experience with scripting languages like bash or PowerShell preferred is a plus.
  • Experience with CI tools like Jenkins or TeamCity preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with financial data.
  • Well-versed in software quality assurance processes and the software development lifecycle.
  • Can easily plan, commit, and deliver to meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Comfortable prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
