Job Description

The QA Engineer - Automation will be responsible for designing test plans, writing test cases, and reviewing functional requirement documentation. They will participate in various types of testing, including Systems and Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and Performance and Load Testing. The role involves designing and creating automation test cases for tasks like system integration and data validation. The engineer will perform root cause analysis, proactively raise issues, and ensure timely delivery. They will also interact with clients, develop test strategies and plans, manage project risks, and provide status reports. This role requires strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. The job involves working on a marketplace in digital media.
Must have:
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in QA and testing web applications.
  • Translate requirements into test cases and drive execution.
  • Experience in web applications testing.
  • Experience in API testing and using performance test tool Jmeter.
  • Good experience in Functional, Black-Box, Regression, Smoke, and Ad-hoc testing.
  • Extensive experience in Client interaction and Requirement Gathering.
  • Experience in deriving Test Scenarios and designing manual test cases.
  • Experience in generating test data and preparing weekly status reports.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Good to have:
  • Experience in writing SQL complex queries (MS SQL Server, Oracle), Database testing.
  • Basic Knowledge of developing Java in Selenium Web-driver & Experience in Designing and executing the automation scripts using Selenium-WebDriver.
  • Interacted with client to have a better understanding of functionality.
  • Develop Test Strategy, Test Plan and Project Estimation and review with Business Team.
  • Responsible for identifying, analyzing, measuring and managing project risks.
  • Ensuring timely delivery and timely communication of status reports and test reports to Business team.
  • Strong troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design test plans, write test cases, review functional requirement documentation.
  • Participate in QA function of the web platforms, including Systems and Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Performance and Load Testing, Compliance Testing
  • Design and create automation test cases to perform QA tasks such as system integration, data validation, load testing and performance testing.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or implementation.
  • Make decisions in day-to-day operations, proactively raising issues with managers when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in the field of IT with focus on QA and testing of web-based applications.
  • A keen analyst with thorough understanding of requirements, translating them into test cases and driving their execution.
  • Good experience on web applications testing.
  • Experience in API testing and using performance test tool Jmeter
  • Good experience in Functional Testing, Black-Box testing, Regression testing, Smoke testing and Ad-hoc testing.
  • Extensive experience in Client interaction, Requirement Gathering, Issues Clarification during entire SDLC and deriving the Test Scenarios/Conditions based on the Requirements.
  • Professional experience in deriving the Test Scenarios and designing the manual test cases.
  • Experience in generating test data and preparing weekly status reports, Test Estimation.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines individually or a team.
