Job Description

The Quality Control Manager at Hawk-Eye Innovations will lead the quality strategy for broadcast replay solutions, ensuring seamless software and hardware performance. Responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive test plans, overseeing functional, performance, and usability testing, identifying and tracking defects, collaborating with developers and other teams to resolve issues, performing regression testing, analyzing test results, and staying current with broadcast technologies and QC best practices. The role requires strong understanding of broadcast video formats, ST2110 and NMOS, and experience with CI/CD pipelines. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, passionate about quality, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Good To Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Experience with bug-tracking software (Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript)
Must Have:
  • 5+ years in QC testing (broadcast/video preferred)
  • Strong understanding of broadcast video formats, codecs, signal processing
  • Hands-on experience with ST2110 and NMOS
  • Expertise in testing methodologies and tools
  • Strong IT knowledge (Windows OS, Networks, Storage, Databases, Web)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git)

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Lead and define the quality strategy for our broadcast replay solutions, ensuring seamless software and hardware performance.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases to guarantee flawless product functionality.

  • Oversee functional, performance, and usability testing for broadcast systems, including both software and hardware components.

  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools, providing detailed descriptions and reproduction steps.

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and operations teams to resolve issues efficiently.

  • Perform regression testing to ensure that bug fixes and new features don’t introduce additional issues.

  • Analyze test results and provide data-driven insights to drive continuous product improvement.

  • Stay ahead of industry advancements by keeping up with the latest broadcast technologies and QC best practices.

  • Work closely with the Operations team to troubleshoot customer issues and enhance product performance.

Tech Stack and Skill Requirements

Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality control testing, preferably in broadcast or video production.

  • Strong understanding of broadcast video formats, codecs, and signal processing.

  • Hands-on experience with ST2110 and NMOS is a must.

  • Familiarity with broadcast replay systems and workflows.

  • Expertise in various testing methodologies and tools.

  • Strong IT knowledge, including Windows OS, Networks, Storage, Databases, and Web.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).

Preferred:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, broadcast technology, or a related field.

  • Experience with bug-tracking software (Jira, Bugzilla).

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript).
