Job Description

Ansys Granta is seeking an R&D Verification Engineer to join their team. This role involves ensuring software quality by improving automated build, test, and deployment systems. The engineer will write automated tests using Playwright, work with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, and optimize Azure-hosted testing environments. Responsibilities also include measuring test coverage, performing exploratory testing, and contributing to a collaborative team focused on innovation and quality. The position is remote and offers a chance to work on world-class software used by major companies.
Must have:
  • Help run and improve automated systems that build, test, and deploy software
  • Write smart automated tests using Playwright for web apps
  • Work with tools like GitHub Actions for smooth build and deployment
  • Find ways to make testing environments (hosted in Azure) faster and easier to use
  • Come up with better ways to measure test coverage and performance across browsers
  • Do hands-on exploratory testing to uncover bugs and verify fixes
  • Share ideas, experiment with new approaches, and help raise quality standards
Good to have:
  • Worked with build systems or CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Comfortable with manual testing, especially for exploring new features

Who we're looking for:

  • Automate our tests.
  • You’ve worked with build systems or CI/CD tools before (maybe GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
  • You have experience writing automated tests and love making sure software works right
  • You're comfortable with a bit of manual testing too, especially when it comes to exploring new features
  • You’re organised, curious, and always looking for ways to improve things
  • You work well in a team and aren’t afraid to ask questions or share ideas
  • You’re familiar with agile ways of working, or excited to learn
