Job Description

Apple is seeking a Reliability Engineer for its Wireless Design group. The role involves driving reliability requirements for various wireless vendors, reviewing reliability test plans, and auditing tests at vendor labs. Responsibilities include leading failure analysis, understanding root causes of failures, and assessing field exposure risks. The engineer will review vendor REL test plans throughout the product lifecycle, ensure silicon/package qualification test requirements are met, and periodically audit domestic and international vendor sites. In case of reliability failures, the engineer will drive failure analysis at the vendor site and assess field risks using statistical analysis of failure rates. The position requires the ability to balance multiple projects and involves domestic and international travel.

As a Reliability Engineer for the Wireless Design group, you will be responsible to drive all reliability requirements across multiple Wireless vendors. You will apply your expertise to review all reliability test plans and audit the reliability tests at the vendor labs. This role will also include leading failure analysis, root cause understanding of the failure and analyzing field exposure risk in the event of a failure. -Review all vendor REL test plans during product life cycle -Ensure that silicon/package qualification test requirements are met across all wireless vendors -Audit domestic and international vendor sites on a periodic basis -In the event of a reliability failure, drive failure analysis at vendor -Assess field risks through statistical analysis of reliability failure rate -Ability to balance multiple projects at the same time -Position requires domestic and international travel
