As a Role Player at Cubic Defence Australia, you will be an integral part of our immersive and realistic training simulations. Collaborating with a team of professionals, you will portray diverse characters and scenarios to create authentic training environments. This role requires adaptability, creativity, and a commitment to contributing to the excellence of our training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Character Portrayal:
- Assume designated roles in training scenarios, accurately representing various military and civilian personas.
- Embody diverse characters to simulate real-world scenarios, ensuring the highest level of realism in training exercises.
Training Program Enhancement:
- Collaborate with training facilitators, subject matter experts, and technical teams to refine scenarios and improve the overall effectiveness of training programs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation-based training methodologies.
Adaptability and Realism:
- Quickly adapt to changing scenarios and feedback from training facilitators to enhance the realism of role-playing exercises.
- Stay informed about military tactics, procedures, and cultural nuances to accurately portray scenarios.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with training facilitators, fellow role players, and technical staff to coordinate and execute effective training simulations.
- Provide constructive feedback to participants and training facilitators for continuous improvement.
- Be motivated to do the best job you can and take on all tasks with a degree of enthusiasm.
- Be courteous; treat all people with respect and dignity.
- Be prepared to work and live with Australian Army soldiers.
- Comply with all risk management plans and safety procedures for all activities and exercises.
- Keep living areas clean and tidy and wash your role player uniform as required.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate with training facilitators to understand specific learning objectives and tailor role-playing scenarios accordingly.
- Engage in debrief sessions to provide insights and observations from a role-playing perspective.
Physical Requirements:
- Be prepared to endure a degree of hardship, including conducting foot patrols, riding in armoured trucks, and living in a tent in the bush.
- Dependent on your role, you may be required to work 12 hours (accumulative) in any one 24-hour period, by day and at night, as required by your role-playing position and client requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene within the limitations of your situation.
- Perform other duties as directed by Cubic Lead.
