Job Description

This Sales Director role involves leading the regional sales team in China to drive revenue, profitability, and design win growth. Key responsibilities include establishing and executing go-to-market strategies for Qualcomm's automotive product portfolio, building strategic relationships with customers, and driving business development with ecosystem partners. The director will also collaborate with internal functional and regional teams to achieve design-wins, expand market share, and ensure smooth project execution, while overseeing operational activities, customer service, and technical support.
Must have:
  • Lead regional sales team to drive revenue, profitability, and design win growth in China.
  • Establish and execute go-to-market strategies for automotive product portfolio in China.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with Chinese and international tier1/OEM customers.
  • Drive business development with ecosystem partners to accelerate Qualcomm tech adoption.
  • Collaborate with functional teams for design-wins and market share expansion.
  • Collaborate with other regional teams for international JVs and project execution.
  • Oversee and coordinate all operational activities, including customer service and technical support.
  • Bachelor's degree or above with major in engineering background.
  • Over 15 years of account management experience in automotive industry.
  • Over 5 years of sales leadership experience.
  • Frequent travel required.
Good to have:
  • MBA or EMBA is a plus
  • Previous experience with a multi-national company in automotive or semi-conductor industry is a strong plus

Job function

  • Lead the regional sales team in relevant region to drive continued revenue, profitability, and design win growth in China
  • Establish and execute go-to-market strategies in China across Qualcomm's automotive product portfolio
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with both Chinese and international tier1/OEM customers
  • Drive business development efforts with all ecosystem partners in China to accelerate the adoption of Qualcomm technologies in Automotive industry
  • Collaborate with Qualcomm's other functional teams (e.g. PDM, CE, R&D etc) to achieve more design-wins and expand Qualcomm market share
  • Collaborate with Qualcomm's other regional teams (e.g., Europe, North America) to serve international JVs in China and ensure smooth project execution
  • Oversee and coordinate all operational activities, including customer service and technical support.

Qualification

  • Bachelors degree or above with major in engineering background, MBA or EMBA is a plus
  • Previous experience with a multi-national company in automotive or semi-conductor industry is a strong plus
  • Over 15 years of account management experience in automotive industry
  • Over 5 years of sales leadership experience
  • Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills both in Chinese and English
  • Strong network in automotive industry
  • Excellent teamwork spirit
  • Frequent travel required
