Job Summary:

About the Role & Team

Disney Advertising is seeking a Sales Specialist who will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth for Disney Advertising. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, focused on proactively identifying new business opportunities and building strong, long-term relationships with key clients – both direct and from agency side.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the media and advertising landscape.

This position requires a high level of proactivity, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results in a competitive market.

This role will require you to be onsite in our Munich office 4 days a week. The internal job title will be Supervisor Sales.

What You Will Do

  • Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities, driving the growth of Disney Advertising’s client portfolio across a variety of verticals.

  • Partner with colleagues to align on strategic client goals and develop tailored proposals that address unique business challenges.

  • Lead prospecting efforts, including client outreach, initial presentations, and developing strategic pitches to secure new clients.

  • Develop and implement growth strategies, focusing on expanding Disney Advertising’s presence in the marketplace through innovative and creative sales approaches.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Ad Operations, Marketing, Creative, and Finance) to ensure seamless execution of client proposals and campaigns.

  • Lead business negotiations, structuring deals that maximize revenue while delivering value to clients.

  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for business development.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior-level stakeholders across potential clients and partners.

  • Represent Disney Advertising at key industry events, networking with potential clients and partners to raise the profile of our brand and offering.

  • Contribute to monthly performance reviews, providing insights on sales pipelines, prospecting success, and deal closures.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Disney’s ad products, sponsorship offerings, targeting capabilities, and market positioning to inform business development strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Extensive experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in the digital media industry.

  • Strong knowledge of digital media sales and marketplaces, including Direct IO, Programmatic Guaranteed, and PMP advertising.

  • Ability to prospect, engage, and close new business opportunities in a competitive environment.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, able to interpret data and market trends to inform business development initiatives.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage senior-level client

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage requests from various colleagues and customers

  • Familiarity with Advertising Research and Verification vendors like Nielsen, comScore, Moat, Integral Ad Science, DoubleVerify, Kantar, etc

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in both German and English
