The Crew Domain Business Systems Analyst / ODM will handle requirements for complex business problems in the crew domain, using various technologies. This role involves gathering requirements, interpreting them into system requirements, documenting, coding business rules with IBM ODM, creating and testing scenarios, and delivering solutions. The analyst will also be a Subject Matter Expert, training airline analysts and ensuring product adoption. The position requires working on high-value projects, operating with limited oversight, and representing customer and industry needs.
Must have:
  • Work with team members on delivering high-quality software: well-designed, efficient, and testable business rules code using ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager)
  • Gather requirements from the customer or aviation regulatory body websites
  • Interpret requirements into system requirements, document them
  • Code business rules using ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager)
  • Create and test scenarios, write automation scripts, and deliver business rules to the customer
  • Work on high-value projects with large-scale customer impact
  • Operate under limited direction and minimal oversight
  • Delineate requirements to solve complex business problems using differing technologies and system views across multiple functional domains
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge and represent all customer and industry needs
  • Lead and coach a team of subject matter experts and help them to upskill
  • Support continuous improvement
  • Investigate alternatives and technologies
  • Work closely with customers, both remotely and on-site, to train, extract and define business requirements
  • Knowledge of ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager)
  • Knowledge of Java/Python/Angular/React/C++
  • Good understanding of database concepts and working knowledge of SQL
  • Basic understanding of Linux and Windows Platform
  • Proficient English written and oral communication skills
  • Proven Analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel 35% of the time
Good to have:
  • Over 5 years of Airline/Crew Domain Knowledge

About This Role

Crew Domain Business Systems Analyst / ODM

Crew Domain Business Systems Analyst will be required to handle requirements to solve complex business problems using different technology and system views in one or more assigned functional areas of the crew domain. Delivery Business Analyst will also be the Subject Matter Expert on these solutions and will be involved in training airline analysts on the tools and ensuring the product is adopted effectively and efficiently by the airline.

The role we are offering you:

  • Work with all team members on delivering high-quality software: well-designed, efficient, and testable business rules code using ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager)
  • Gather requirements from the customer directly or from aviation regulatory body websites, interpret them into system requirements, document them, code business rules using ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager), create and test scenarios, write automation scripts, and deliver the business rules to the customer
  • Work on high-value (revenue) projects with large-scale customer impact and showcase ability to operate under limited direction and minimal oversight. Display the ability to delineate requirements to solve complex business problems using differing technologies and system views across multiple functional domains (within the company and between the company and its customer) on high-profile and/or mission-critical efforts and projects
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge and showcase the ability to represent all customer and industry needs; typically lead and coach a team of subject matter experts and help them to upskill.
  • Support continuous improvement
  • Investigating alternatives and technologies
  • Work closely with customers, both remotely as well as on-site, to train, extract and define business requirements

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Knowledge of ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager)
  • Knowledge of Java/Python/Angular/React/C++
  • Good understanding of database concepts and working knowledge of SQL & basic understanding of Linux and Windows Platform.
  • Proficient English written and oral communication skills
  • Proven Analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel 35% of the time

In addition to the following experience, nice to have:

  • Over 5 years of Airline/Crew Domain Knowledge
