Join Our Specialist Financial Lines Advocacy Claims Team
We are looking for an experienced financial lines claims professional to join our team as a Senior Claims Advocate. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile claims within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
We will count on you to:
- Provide detailed coverage analysis and advice on complex, high-profile financial lines claims, including issues of construction, claim characterisation, interpretation, and exclusions.
- Conduct urgent reviews and develop tailored claim strategies for media-sensitive, litigated, or high-risk large loss matters requiring immediate action.
- Engage proactively with brokers, clients, legal counsel, and insurers to coordinate claim responses, mitigate losses, and set clear expectations.
- Maximise client coverage outcomes through comprehensive analysis of all relevant coverages, including dual insurance and external covers, providing strategic guidance.
- Mentor internal claims staff on legal and coverage complexities, and assist in preparing detailed correspondence, submissions, and on-site inspections.
What you need to have:
- A legal degree with 5+ years PQE, preferably with experience in private practice.
- Proven technical expertise in managing complex, large-scale financial lines insurance claims.
- Ability to independently manage a range of high-value, complex claims while maintaining high-quality customer service.
- Strong understanding of insurance policy construction, exclusions, and legal considerations in claims management.
What makes you stand out:
- Experience working within the financial lines claims space, with a deep understanding of case law, external covers, and multi-party claim coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-profile, high-quantum claims with minimal supervision.
- Additional industry certifications or specialist training in financial lines or insurance law are advantageous.
