Job Title: Senior Designer

Role: Freelancer (5 months)

Location: Manila, Philippines

 

About the role:

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Designer specializing in event design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in conceptualizing and executing visually compelling designs for various ticketed sales events, including corporate functions, conferences, exhibitions, and social events. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical proficiency, and leadership skills.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Design Leadership: Lead the visual design aspects of ticketed events, ensuring all creative output aligns with the company's brand vision and strategic objectives.
  • Event Branding: Develop and adapt cohesive branding for events, from conceptualization through final execution, encompassing all visual aspects, including logos, colour schemes, and typography.
  • Materials Creation: Design various materials needed for events, such as promotional graphics, event signage, banners, flyers, invitations, tickets, and digital assets for web and social media.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with event managers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that design elements meet the event's needs and enhance the attendee's experience.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery to meet event deadlines.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay current with design trends and technology to bring fresh and innovative ideas to event projects continually.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from attendees and stakeholders post-event to improve design strategies and execution for future events.

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional design experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on ticketed events.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work specifically related to events.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with other design software such as Sketch or Figma.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to non-design stakeholders.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details ensures all designs are precise and high quality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, managing client relationships and leading design discussions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
