Job Description
Protofire is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. Responsibilities include managing blockchain networks, protocols, consensus types, and cryptography. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and OVH is essential, along with Linux system administration. Proficiency in containerization with Docker and Kubernetes is required. Programming skills in Bash, Golang, Python, and JavaScript are necessary. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform, load balancers like HAProxy and Nginx, and database management for PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and Memcached is expected. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki, secrets management with HashiCorp Vault, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Cloud Build is crucial. Strong problem-solving skills and English communication are vital for interacting with customers.

Protofire is looking for a passionate and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team.
Requirements:
- Blockchain: what's blockchain network, protocols, types of consensus, cryptography;
- Cloud experience: AWS (EC2, ECS, Secrets, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, CloudWatch), Google (BigQuery, Cloud Function, GKE, Secret Manager, Artifact Registry), OVH (bare-metal, public cloud);
- Operating systems: Linux (maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, security);
- Containers and orchestrations: Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes;
- Programming: Bash, Golang (preferred), Python, JavaScript (code reading);
- Infrastructure as Code: Ansilbe, Terraform;
- Load balancing: HAProxy, Nginx;
- Database management: PostgreSQL, MySQL;
- In-memory database management: Redis, Memcached;
- Monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki;
- Secrets management: HashiCorp Vault;
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions (preferred), Cloud Build;
- Communication: English B2+, skills to communicate with 3rd - party customers, strong problem solving.
Nice to have (otherwise can be learned while working with us):
- Understanding of crypto economics (what is staking, how token emission works, and so on);
- Blockchain protocol analytics (Python and Jupyter notebook stack).
