Senior Engineer, Backend - Channel File Systems
Job Summary
Job Description
CrowdStrike is seeking a backend software engineer to work on large-scale distributed systems. The role involves designing the proprietary Cloud Protocol and collaborating with Falcon Sensor teams. Responsibilities include scaling backend systems, troubleshooting system failures, and shipping code for production. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of distributed systems, multi-threading, and cloud environments. The work environment is fast-paced, test-driven, and collaborative, requiring skills in engineering best practices and effective communication.
Must have:
- Degree in Computer Science or related experience
- Ability to scale backend systems, sharding, and partitioning
- Ability to troubleshoot and pinpoint system failures
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges
Good to have:
- Experience in implementing web servers and load balancers
- Authored and lead successful open source libraries and projects
- Contributions to the open source community
- Existing exposure to Go, Scala, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch
- Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields
