As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of individual contributors in developing technology that saves lives and improves health outcomes for millions. Aledade empowers primary care physicians with technology to keep patients healthy and prevent hospitalizations. Your primary duties include building a high-performing team, providing strong technical leadership for solutioning and roadmapping, setting clear goals, removing roadblocks, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving engineering excellence in processes and systems.
Must have:
- BS/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of production-level experience as an engineer and technical lead
- 5+ years of managerial experience building and leading technical engineering teams
- Strong communication and relationship building skills

- Taking ownership of technology decisions while delegating
- Communicating analysis and establishing confidence with non-technical audiences
- Influencing and aligning multiple stakeholders

- Strong understanding of Data pipelines, schema design, and large-scale datasets
- Leading, mentoring, and growing engineers focused on clinical data ingestion
- In-depth understanding of the Databricks platform
- Driving best practices in data pipeline design, scalability, performance tuning, and cost optimization
Job Details
As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead by being a highly technical leader who delivers high business impact on projects of increasing dependencies and ambiguity.
You will lead a team of individual contributors in the development of technology that saves lives and improves mental and physical health for millions of people.
At Aledade, we empower primary care physicians with technology to keep their patients healthy, preventing unnecessary hospitalizations.
Primary Duties:
- Build a high performing team by hiring and nurturing engineering talent.
- Strong technical leadership - drive technical solutioning and building roadmaps.
- Set aggressive and clear goals and remove all roadblocks for the team to achieve them.
- Working seamlessly and collaboratively with stakeholders across Aledade to achieve business outcomes.
- Work closely with engineering leaders to drive engineering excellence in our processes and systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required.
- 10+ years of production-level experience as an engineer and technical lead building highly scalable and reliable software.
- 5+ years of managerial experience building and leading technical engineering teams.
Preferred KSA’s:
- You have experience in attracting, hiring, and coaching world-class engineers including performance management
- You have experience in taking ownership of the technology decisions, while delegating and empowering team members.
- You have experience communicating analysis and establishing confidence among audiences who do not share your disciplinary background or training.
- You have strong communication and relationship building skills, with experience influencing and aligning multiple stakeholders.
- Establish team goals and technical priorities aligned with organizational objectives.
- Skilled in translating technical components into business outcomes for stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Data pipelines, schema design, and handling large-scale; complex datasets in a scalable and maintainable way.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on ingesting and processing clinical data using Databricks.
- In-depth understanding of the Databricks platform, including clusters, notebooks, workflows and workspace management.
- Drive adoption of best practices in data pipeline design, scalability, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
