About The Role:

The Senior Game Designer will play a pivotal role in adapting our flagship racing game to appeal to Western audiences. This involves rethinking game mechanics, narrative elements, and cultural references to ensure relevance and engagement. You will work closely with the dev team in China and cross-functional groups to reimagine our game for a new demographic.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt and redesign game features to resonate with Western players, while maintaining the core experience that defines our success.
  • Provide creative directions, ensuring that the Western version of the game aligns with regional sensibilities without compromising on quality.
  • Be a key voice for western players, take initiatives to tailor the game for the target audience by leveraging in-depth understanding of the market and its demographic.
  • Collaborate with marketing, research and analytics teams to test and validate design changes and their impact on player engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in game design, preferably in racing or RPG.
  • Deep understanding of Western mobile gaming markets.
  • Has launched at least 1 game in the past 3 years.
  • Proficiency in design tools and platforms prevalent in mobile game development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across culturally diverse teams.
