The Business Manager role sits in one of the Head of People teams and will be driving strategic planning, operational activities and bring a team-oriented approach to help deliver on our people priorities. As a trusted advisor and operational leader, you'll be playing a meaningful role driving simplification and continuous improvement across the Head of People team, which includes Strategy, People Services and Solutions, Employee Relations (ER) and HR M&A. This is a high-impact role for someone who excels in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and is motivated by driving alignment and performance across a global function!
Must have:
  • Drive the delivery of daily operations and strategic projects to support the Head of People team in achieving its strategic objectives - enabling the team to run efficiently, optimising resources and maximising return on investments.
  • Support the strategic planning process in collaboration with the Head of People’s leadership team, including tracking of ad-hoc projects.
  • Assist with budget management and forecasting, including oversight of travel and expense allocations.
  • Coordinate the preparation of high-quality materials for executive briefings, board updates, and strategic reviews.
  • Act as a conduit to enhance liaison across the team, and with internal and external partners and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and enhanced relationships.
  • Manage all procurement and invoicing requirements as required for the Head of People.
  • Identify operational risks and supporting mitigation planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in how the team operates, communicates, and delivers value.
  • Support high impact communications and engagement initiatives. Ensure messaging is consistent, audience relevant and aligned to LSEG brand, values and culture.
  • Use data and insights to track performance and inform decision-making.

What you'll bring

  • Experience of performing a business management role in a large corporate environment ideally Financial services.
  • Looking for someone who is expert is setting up an operating rhythm of a Group Leader who is able to prioritise as well as multi task when appropriate.
  • Critical thinking with the ability to connect long-term vision to operational delivery.
  • Experience leading projects and managing change effectively, delivering results in dynamic and complex environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong organisation and coordination skills with the ability to deliver multiple priorities to conflicting deadlines.
  • Data literacy and the ability to synthesise, visualise and turn data insights into action.
