The Senior Analyst (Product Pricing) reporting to the Strategic (Product Pricing) Pricing Manager is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of pricing strategies and processes specifically focused on list price setting and management. Key duties include developing financial models for product list price management, assisting in new pricing model development (e.g., usage-based, cloud), collaborating with analysts for price setting and market intelligence, performing financial evaluations of list prices, interfacing with corporate functions, preparing recommendations for leadership, and conducting ad-hoc analyses to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
Must have:
  • Develop financial models and analysis to aid product list price management across the product lifecycle
  • Assist in the development of new and innovative pricing models
  • Collaborate with pricing analysts to support activities such as list price setting, price model development and providing market/competitive intelligence
  • Perform recurring financial evaluation to assess effectiveness of list prices
  • Interface with various corporate functions (Finance, Product Management, etc.) to ensure optimal pricing processes are defined and implemented
  • Prepare and present recommendations to leadership for updates to current list prices for existing offerings
  • Perform multiple ongoing and ad-hoc analyses as requested or as needed to identify opportunities and to drive projects and improvements
  • Bachelor’s degree in data/analytics related field e.g., Finance, Business, Accounting
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm focused on Pricing, Finance or Strategy
  • Ability to effectively articulate insights and recommended actions
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to meet demanding and evolving deadlines
  • Experience working in a consultative pricing environment, ideally with a "Big Four" or similiar type employer
  • Ability to communicate to internal stakeholders and externals customers and clients
Good to have:
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
  • Experience with data warehousing (Snowflake), SQL and/or business intelligence applications (Microsoft BI)
  • MBA degree is a plus
  • Prior experience working with CRM and CPQ systems, preferably SalesForce

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models and analysis to aid product list price management across the product lifecycle e.g., repackaging, new product introduction, product migration
  • Assist in the development of new and innovative pricing models e.g., usage-based models, cloud products, solution pricing
  • Collaborate with pricing analysts to support activities such as list price setting, price model development and providing market/competitive intelligence
  • Perform recurring financial evaluation to assess effectiveness of list prices
  • Interface with various corporate functions (Finance, Product Management, etc.) to ensure optimal pricing processes are defined and implemented
  • Prepare and present recommendations to leadership for updates to current list prices for existing offerings, identifying and evaluating opportunities to drive revenue for new product features and new offerings reflecting competitive position and value generated
  • Perform multiple ongoing and ad-hoc analyses as requested or as needed to identify opportunities and to drive projects and improvements

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in data/analytics related field e.g., Finance, Business, Accounting
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm focused on Pricing, Finance or Strategy
