As a Senior Product Manager in Open Banking, you will lead initiatives to enhance Monzo’s Open Banking. You will be responsible for defining the strategy and setting a high bar for impact and execution. You will partner with directors in Product, Engineering, Data, and Design to shape Monzo’s product strategy for Open Banking and drive innovation. Responsibilities include leading the planning process, driving innovation, and representing Monzo in external working groups. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver projects effectively and communicate the product vision effectively.

Senior Product Manager, Open Banking 

📍London or Remote in the UK | 💰 £95,000-£115,000 ➕plus stock options &  Benefits | Product at Monzo | Hear from the team

As a Senior Product Manager in Open Banking, you will lead high-impact initiatives, to enhance Monzo’s Open Banking initiatives. As a member of Monzo’s product team, you’ll be responsible for defining the strategy and setting a high bar for impact and execution, requiring complex stakeholder alignment and coordination across multiple cross-functional teams.  

You’ll partner closely with directors in Product, Engineering, Data, and Design to help shape Monzo’s product strategy for Open Banking and drive innovation within the team. We’re now gearing up for our next phase of growth, from 11 million to 20 million customers.

 

What you’ll be working on:

  • Work iteratively and collaboratively with design, engineering, research, data science, compliance and many others to refine your plan and execute against it effectively.
  • Champion the growth and evolution of existing Open Banking products at Monzo, like our Connected Accounts and Easy Bank Transfers features.
  • Lead the planning process and associated roadmap prioritisation ensuring alignment within the team and with wider business goals and objectives
  • Shape the broader product strategy by sharing insights from your work.
  • Participate in external Open Banking working groups, representing Monzo’s views on topics like commercial VRPs, and the multi-lateral agreements between participants. 

That means you’ll:

  • Participate in industry Open Banking working groups representing Monzo
  • Own the strategic direction, balancing work to achieve long-term goals and short-term targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data, user research and marketing to identify and validate new opportunities.
  • Lead the planning process and associated roadmap prioritisation ensuring alignment within the team and with wider business goals and objectives. 
  • Create delightful experiences that solve user needs and pain points.
  • Work with cross-functional partners (engineering, design, data, user research and marketing) to ensure projects are delivered on time and as planned, as well as with legal, compliance and regulatory affairs where relevant
  • Communicate effectively. You get people inspired by the product vision and you share the right context with the right people at the right time.

The interview process:

Our interview process involves 3 main stages: 

  • Recruiter Call 
  • Initial Call with Hiring Manager 
  • Final Loop, consisting of x3 hour long interviews to assess Project Walkthrough, Case Study and Leadership
