Cardiff Space & Community Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to lead an office and be a cultural ambassador as part of our ‘Space and Community’ pillar at Monzo. As a key member managing and maintaining the site you’ll be at the heart of all things engagement, culture & community in our Cardiff office. You’ll focus on helping to bring Monzo magic to the forefront of a Monzonauts experience, whether they’re based in the office, visiting or working remotely. You're responsible for running the office, company-wide gifting, events, and engagement strategy, collaborating to ensure Monzonaut safety and satisfaction.

Must Have

• Work closely with building/office management teams to ensure Monzonauts are engaged and working effectively in a delightful and safe office.
• Welcome new starters, making their first day magical and providing necessary information for success.
• Listen and respond to feedback from the office-based team, using data to improve processes and enhance the office experience.
• Responsible for all on-site health, safety, and environmental reporting.
• Facilitate office events, socials, and perks, ensuring consistency.
• Responsible for company-wide SWAG operations.
• Contribute to the Culture and Engagement strategy, focusing on remote engagement.

As a key member managing and maintaining the site you’ll be at the heart of all things engagement, culture & community in our Cardiff office. You’ll focus on helping to bring Monzo magic to the forefront of a Monzonauts experience, whether they’re based in the office, visiting or working remotely. No two days are alike as you’re responsible not only for running the office, but also company wide gifting, events and the engagement strategy. We collaborate throughout the business to achieve great things for our Monzonauts that keep them safe and satisfied. This role will report directly to the ‘Space Lead’.

🔑You’ll play a key role by...

• Working closely with our building/office management teams to ensure Monzonauts are feeling engaged and working effectively to make the office a delightful and safe place to be.
• Welcoming our new starters in the office by making their first day as magical as possible while also ensuring they have all the information they need to set them up for success.
• Listening and responding to feedback from the office based team, and using data to improve processes and documentation to enhance the office experience.
• Being responsible for all on site health and safety and environmental reporting responsibilities for the site.
• Facilitating events, socials and perks in the office and working with our office teams to ensure consistency for office events.
• Being responsible for SWAG operations at a company wide level.
• Contributing and playing a key part in our Culture and Engagement strategy, focusing on the remote engagement strategy.

• You have strong problem solving skills and are able to context switch and multi-task with ease
• You have the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise time sensitive workloads
• You’re not afraid to ask questions to gather the context you need to work autonomously
• You have the ability to work well independently & work collaboratively as part of a team to get things done
• You have Fluency in MacOS, Slack, and GSuite tools and the ability to adapt to learn new systems and processes
• You have a heart for People: You create fantastic employee experiences and nurture an inclusive environment.
• You’re a Monzo ambassador: you embody our culture and values, ensuring they shine through in every interaction.
