Overview

The Big Fish Games Client Engineering team is looking for a Technical Product Owner to manage our SDK and Automation Teams roadmap. This role covers the development and engineering of our publishing ecosystem for central code repositories, build systems, and automation frameworks as well as our mobile tech stack for authentication, compliance, telemetry, purchasing, and user acquisition attribution. You are responsible for supporting the technology direction and Client Engineering roadmap by working with a Sr Manager of Engineering, Project Manager, Sr Director of Client Engineering and various business stakeholders. You will manage the engineering backlog and business requirements for the publishing ecosystem that supports all of our mobile games. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact and set the standard for what it means to be a world class publisher. As a Technical Product Owner, you will be driving the development teams to deliver products and features that align with the needs of the users and the business objectives. You will be in a leadership position to demonstrate our values, organize and plan the development roadmap and requirements, prioritizing the development of features. You will also work together with other leaders to build a culture of excellence and high performing teams.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders to create and prioritize backlog, epics, projects and initiatives, aligning with the technology organization OKRs and company strategic principles and objectives
• Work closely with Architects, Directors, Project managers to design technical solutions and build up our product centered vision
• Define and elaborate the features our engineering team will be delivering. Accommodate and lead the refinement of requirements, epics and user stories. Actively own the products and juggle priorities accordingly
• Inspire and motivate our engineering teams to deliver with a sense of purpose exciting new solutions
• Create and manage the roadmaps and timelines
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Act as a knowledge broker, resolve blockers and manage dependencies and priorities between teams
• Work with finance teams to understand and plan recharges, costs, and investments

What We're Looking For

• 10+ Years in Mobile Applications: Experience in Android, iOS, and Unity highlighting your competence and readiness for new challenges on these platforms.
• 5+ years managing a platform, SDK, or reusable tooling adopted by multiple teams.
• Proven track record in a technical role (software engineer, QA, analyst, etc), in a product focused role or in a relevant role that has demanded similar responsibilities and skills.
• SDLC & GitHub Experience: Understanding of the complete software development life cycle, including coding, testing, and deployment, with particular emphasis on the use of GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, reflecting your adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Shipped successful multiple mobile apps at scale on Google Play or Apple’s app store
• Professional knowledge of software, application design, and scripting languages (Bash, Ruby, Python)
• Virtual collaboration - Experience with development and delivery in a remote and geographically distributed team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical summaries and priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Roadmap and Backlog management - Experience with JIRA or any other similar system to manage backlogs, writing user stories and supporting activities by building diagrams, whiteboarding and brainstorming.
• Empathy and understanding of the needs and perspectives of different types of stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent real world experience
