Responsibilities
- Build complex, scalable web services and infrastructure that supports them
- Develop new features, with tests, that can support our growing user base
- Evaluate current software architecture and implement enhancements as required
- Help evolve and maintain existing code bases, with attention for high-quality coding standards and best practices
- Build and scale automated testing infrastructure to support Quality Assurance
- Cross-team collaboration and coordination to ensure reliable, secure, available and scalable releases
- Mentor other engineers, engage in team discussions, and review code
Minimum Qualifications
- Curiosity about how things work
- Self-motivated, autonomous, empathetic and great communication skills
- Ability to participate in technical architecture discussions and drive technical decisions
- Ability and desire to jump in to fix things and to make things better
- Experience writing production code in one of the modern programming languages
- Experience with building web APIs (RESTful, json:api)
- Experience with data architecture and data modeling
- Experience with AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL and NoSQL databases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript and NodeJS ecosystem
- Experience with Express, or similar web servers
- Experience with queueing/messaging systems, or background job processors
- Experience scaling and optimizing schemas, performance tuning SQL and data pipelines
- Experience with Docker and Docker Compose
- Experience with AWS, Jenkins and CI/CD practices
- Experience with Terraform
Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
