Job Description

The AI and Analytics Team within Actimize is developing a next-generation advanced analytical cloud platform to enhance financial crime programs. This Senior Software Engineer role involves developing this platform for Actimize's cloud-based solutions using cutting-edge cloud technologies. The platform will enable major financial institutions globally to combat financial crime.
Good To Have:
  • Prior experience with SaaS, PaaS and IaC development is preferred.

Must Have:
  • Work with architects, engineers, and Product Managers to understand high-level design and cross-interface impact.
  • Develop high quality, proficient, and enterprise-grade products.
  • Work as part of the development team to meet committed deadlines.
  • Participate in design and implementation, pitching ideas and innovating continuously.
  • Collaborate in multi-disciplinary Agile teams, adopting Agile spirit and tools.
  • Ensure automation framework uses best-of-breed technology, including open-source tools.
  • Implement/Improve system monitoring, alerting, and observability.
  • Build and maintain highly available systems on AWS.
  • Create infrastructure through automation for hosting services on AWS.
  • Review code and guide the team to translate complex business requirements into technical artifacts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant course.
  • 4-6 years of experience in software industry as a software engineer.
  • Development experience using Python.
  • Experience with implementation of Data structure and algorithms.
  • In-depth and hands-on experience working with AWS.
  • Experience working in and driving Continuous Integration and Delivery practices using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Artifactory.
  • Must have created and deployed microservices on a cloud ecosystem from scratch.
  • Good understanding of software development best practices, testing paradigms, peer code reviews, and resilient architectures.
  • Good understanding of Cloud Security and Cloud Costing.
  • Knowledge and experience in high scale, highly available (99.99+) systems.
  • Experience working on a Scrum Team in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and bug fixing skills.
  • Displayed proactiveness and ownership.
  • Delivered applications that are performant, resilient, and efficient from cost and operations perspective.

Within Actimize, the AI and Analytics Team is developing the next generation advanced analytical cloud platform that will harness the power of data to provide maximum accuracy for our clients’ Financial Crime programs. As part of the PaaS/SaaS development group, you will be responsible for developing this platform for Actimize cloud-based solutions and to work with cutting edge cloud technologies.

This new SaaS platform will enable our customers (some of the biggest financial institutes around the world) to create solutions on the platform to fight financial crime.

  • Working with architects, engineers, Product Managers, and third-party vendors to understand high level design, cross-interface impact, architectural and non-functional features addressing the customer requirements
  • Develop high quality, proficient and enterprise grade products

  • Participate in the design and implementation. Pitch ideas & innovate continuously, take team & project to next level.
  • Work and collaborate in multi-disciplinary Agile teams, adopting Agile spirit, methodology and tools.
  • Ensuring that the automation framework uses best of breed technology including open-source tools
  • Implement/Improve system monitoring, alerting & observability.
  • Build & maintain highly available systems on AWS
  • Creates the infrastructure through automation for hosting the services on AWS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/relevant course
  • 4-6 years of experience working in software Industry as a software engineer (part of SW development team and not support team)
  • Development experience using Python.
  • Experience with implementation of Data structure and algorithms
  • In depth and hands-on experience working with AWS
  • Experience working in and driving Continuous Integration and Delivery practices using industry standard tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and Artifactory
  • Must have created and deployed micro services on a cloud ecosystem from scratch

Must have Skills:

  • Good understanding of software development best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architectures
  • Good understanding of Cloud Security & Cloud Costing

  • Containers: Docker, ECS/EKS on AWS
  • Operating System: Linux and Windows
