We are part of PayPal’s Risk Organization, supporting the Chargeback Platform in the Disputes domain. Our team builds and maintains scalable, secure backend services that manage disputes efficiently, ensuring seamless experiences for customers and merchants.
What you need to know about the Role:
You will design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Java, with strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and security. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features, follow best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, and contribute in an agile environment. Key responsibilities include solving large-scale challenges, optimizing performance, and ensuring fault tolerance. Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is highly valuable. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to influence both technical direction and business impact.
