Senior Software Engineer - Bangalore

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL workflows for batch and real-time data processing.
• Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and data operations.
• Build and manage Kafka-based streaming pipelines for real-time data ingestion.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and product teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience with ETL flow design and implementation
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle and PostgreSQL)
• Solid shell scripting skills (Bash or similar)
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for streaming data

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of data modeling concepts, especially Snowflake schemas
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker)
• Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Version control using Git
• Knowledge on Apache Superset
