This Senior QA Engineer role at E2open focuses on the Planning & Response product, building features for the web application. The engineer will work in an agile environment, collaborating with product management, UX, and QA teams. Responsibilities include designing and implementing test plans, analyzing results, validating bug fixes, and supporting QA processes.   • Designs and implements comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases.
  • Analyzes test results and overall product quality, documenting findings.
  • Works closely with the development team to verify and validate bug fixes.
  • Maintains professional communication across all levels.
  • Supports and advances QA processes by designing, developing, and enhancing test procedures.
  • Oversee testing initiatives across diverse projects and tasks.
  • Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manual and automated testing.
  • Proficient in various test execution processes.
  • Experienced in product integrations with diverse systems.
  • Strong background in automating complex workflows.
  • Hands-on expertise in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with various Test Management Tools.
  • Integration testing, including API validation.
Good to have:
  • Experience in domain of supply chain execution.
  • Experience in system analysis.
  • Knowledge of JMeter, SQL, Java Script.
  • Selenium, Java, TestNG (as preferred skills).

Job Details

This opportunity is for a Senior QA Engineer for the Planning & Response product. We’re the home for tech talent that wants to grow Planning & Response and build the features across the web application. The team is comprised of engineers who work in an agile environment and partner closely with Planning & Response, Product Management, UX, and QA teams.

Roles

  • Demonstrates strong teamwork and independent problem-solving skills, effectively navigating complex challenges.
  • Conducts thorough reviews and validations of requirements and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Designs and implements comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases, incorporating requirements and customer feedback to ensure effective prioritization.
  • Analyzes test results and overall product quality, documenting findings and providing actionable observations for enhancements.
  • Works closely with the development team to verify and validate bug fixes through comprehensive regression testing.
  • Maintains professional communication across all levels, both within and outside the organization.
  • Supports and advances QA processes by designing, developing, and enhancing test procedures and reporting mechanisms.
  • Oversee testing initiatives across diverse projects and tasks, ensuring quality assurance under tight deadlines.
  • Mentors and provides training support to Associate QA Engineers, fostering skill development and team growth.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive quality assurance across diverse applications and systems.

Skills:

  • Proficient in various test execution processes, ensuring comprehensive validation and reliability.
  • Experienced in product integrations with diverse systems, facilitating seamless interoperability.
  • Strong background in automating complex workflows is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, effectively collaborating across teams and stakeholders.
  • Quick learner with a solution-oriented mindset, adept at troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate clarity in thought, documentation, and presentations, ensuring structured and effective communication.
  • Hands-on expertise in Agile methodologies, contributing to iterative and efficient software development.

Technical Skills

  • Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills (Preferred Selenium, Java, TestNG, or equivalent)
  • Experience with various Test Management Tools.
  • Integration testing, including API validation.
  • Security testing experience (if applicable).

Desired skills

  • Experience in domain of supply chain execution.
  • Experience in system analysis will be valuable.
  • Good to know - JMeter, SQL, Java Script
