Must Have

  • Master Global Knowledge® update process for Trade Content
  • Monitor trade and customs compliance regulations
  • Analyze and update regulatory information in Amber Road software
  • Interact with government officials and trade professionals for trade information
  • Meet customer expectations on project timeliness, quality, and completeness
  • Detailed knowledge of global HTS, ECCN, and duty/tax rates
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, policies, and customs compliance
  • Excellent research and analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proactive with a problem-solving attitude

Good to Have

  • Any degree or background in International Trade, ideally an MBA or International Business degree

Associate Trade Specialist - Harmonized Tariff Schedules

Job Responsibilities

  • Master competently and independently our Global Knowledge® update process for Trade Content assigned to you.
  • Monitoring and keeping abreast of trade and customs compliance regulations for various countries.
  • Analyzing and updating regulatory information in Amber Road proprietary software.
  • Interacting with respective regions’ government officials as well as with a network of trade professionals to obtain trade and customs-related information.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations on timeliness, quality, and completeness of assigned projects by working closely with Team Leaders and Managers by following our quality management standards set forth by our ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  • Carry out other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Detailed knowledge of global Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS), Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN), and duty/tax rates for all products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge and Interest in international trade regulations, policies, and customs compliance.
  • Excellent research and analysis skills.
  • Strong Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Keen Interest in global trade regulations and policies.
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people from different countries and across different time zones.
  • Any degree or background in International Trade, ideally an MBA or International Business degree is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in short time frames.
  • Should be proactive and have a problem-solving attitude.
  • Global Trade - Rules Of Origin knowledge is desirable.
