Job Description

Join innovative thinkers in FinTech as we lead the evolution of financial technology. This role is crucial for Investment Accounting, a core product area within SimCorp’s Product Division, delivering rules and calculation methods for legally binding subledgers. You will collaborate with your team, Product Managers, Architects, and end-users to build high-quality, secure solutions, contributing across the entire development lifecycle from requirements to support, while driving innovation and continuous learning.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems and fintech domain.
Must Have:
  • Build high-quality, secure, and valuable solutions in the Investment Accounting product area.
  • Contribute across the entire development lifecycle (requirements analysis, design, implementation, test automation, documentation, support).
  • Conduct context-based, exploratory, and scenario testing and Test Driven Development.
  • Engage meaningfully in team meetings, cross-team feature refinements, and planning sessions.
  • Drive innovations, uphold technical excellence and quality, advocate best practices, and continuously improve ways of working.
  • Continuously learn and improve yourself, your team, and SimCorp.
  • Understand SimCorp's strategy, goals, and customer needs to enhance impact.
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
  • Proficiency in various software testing methodologies and approaches (black-box, white-box, exploratory).
  • Direct experience with test case design and execution (functional, regression, smoke, sanity testing).
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (C#).
  • Familiarity with modern engineering tools and practices, including CI/CD and trunk-based development.
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn in-house tools and frameworks, including the APL programming language.
  • Readiness to work in a complex accounting domain, dealing with financial and investment-related instruments.
  • Good English skills (upper-intermediate or higher), both written and spoken.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Build solutions: collaborate closely with your team, Product Managers, Architects, peers and end-users to deliver high-quality, secure and valuable solutions in the Investment Accounting product area
  • Contribute across the entire development lifecycle - from requirements analysis and design to implementation, test automation, documentation, and ongoing support.
  • Put yourself in the shoes of the end-user: Conduct context-based, exploratory, and scenario testing and Test Driven Development.
  • Engage meaningfully in team meetings, cross-team feature refinements and planning sessions.
  • Drive innovations, uphold technical excellence and quality, advocate best practices, and continuously improve our ways of working.

YOUR SKILLS

We expect you to specialize in several of the following. What you do not know we expect you to learn fast.

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
