Job Description

The Senior Specialist in Gaming Marketing will develop and execute marketing plans based on business objectives and strategies for our gaming products. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, supporting co-marketing activities for gaming and eSports, monitoring the China gaming industry, and building relationships with key partners like Tencent and NetEase. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and working with gaming studios/esports leagues/KOCs to support campaigns, monitor budgets, and develop reports. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and a deep understanding of the gaming community are essential.

General Summary:

The Senior Specialist in Gaming Marketing will develop and execute marketing plans based on business objectives and strategies for our gaming products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Support gaming and eSports co-marketing activities/campaigns across various marketing channels and touchpoints to achieve better outcomes.
  • Monitor the China gaming industry and develop a monthly gaming market report.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners in the gaming ecosystem, such as Tencent, NetEase, Seasun, MiHoyo, etc., to foster collaboration opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, business development, customer engineering, and R&D, to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with gaming studios/esports leagues/KOCs to support relevant campaigns.
  • Monitor and evaluate gaming campaigns, control project budget, and develop wrap-up reports.
  • Support procurement, compliance, and legal processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing or related work experience, with gaming and esports experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful integrated marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming community.
  • Good command of English and ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.

Desired Skills:

  • Creative thinking, can-do spirit, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with influencer marketing and community management.
  • Knowledge of global gaming markets and cultural nuances.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree and 4+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

OR

High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
